Quick Air Fryer Sausage Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed, if frozen)
  • 4 sausages (any flavor, casings removed)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • Flour (for dusting)

Instructions

1. Preheat the Air Fryer

Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 5 minutes.

2. Prepare the Puff Pastry

  1. Lightly dust your work surface with flour and roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth the surface.
  2. Cut the pastry into 4 equal rectangles.

3. Prepare the Sausages

  1. Remove the sausage meat from the casings and shape it into logs approximately the same length as the pastry rectangles.

4. Assemble the Sausage Rolls

  1. Place a sausage log along one edge of each pastry rectangle.
  2. Roll the pastry over the sausage and press the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the seam for a decorative touch.
  3. Cut each roll into smaller pieces, if desired, for bite-sized servings.

5. Apply the Egg Wash

Brush the tops of the sausage rolls with beaten egg to give them a glossy, golden finish.

6. Air Fry the Sausage Rolls

  1. Arrange the sausage rolls in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each to allow air circulation.
  2. Cook at 180°C (350°F) for 10-12 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crispy and the sausage is fully cooked.

7. Cool and Serve

Remove the sausage rolls from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Serve warm or at room temperature with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup or mustard.
