Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. Ground Sirloin (90/10): Choose lean ground sirloin for a flavorful and protein-rich base for your skillet.
  • 1/2 Onion: Finely chopped onion adds depth of flavor and sweetness to the dish.
  • 4 Cloves Garlic: Minced garlic infuses the skillet with aromatic goodness.
  • 1/2 cup Sugar-Free Ketchup: Opt for sugar-free ketchup to keep the carb count low without sacrificing flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Mustard (Dill Pickle Mustard Recommended): Dill pickle mustard adds a unique tangy twist to the dish, complementing the other flavors perfectly.
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Dill Pickles: Tangy dill pickles add a refreshing crunch and burst of flavor to the skillet.
  • 4 Dashes Worcestershire Sauce: Worcestershire sauce adds depth and umami richness to the dish.
  • 1/2 cup Cheddar Cheese: Sharp cheddar cheese adds creamy, melty goodness to the skillet.
  • 4 Slices Bacon, Cooked and Crumbled: Crispy bacon adds smoky flavor and irresistible texture to the dish.
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste: Season the skillet with salt and pepper to enhance the flavors of the ingredients.

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Bacon: Cook bacon until crispy using your preferred method (such as air frying or pan frying). Drain on paper towels, then crumble into small pieces.
  2. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking.
  3. Brown Ground Sirloin: In a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground sirloin until cooked through. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Cook Onion and Garlic: Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, until softened. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Combine Sauce Ingredients: Reduce heat to low. Stir in sugar-free ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add Pickles: Stir in chopped dill pickles, distributing them evenly throughout the skillet.
  7. Top with Cheese and Bacon: Sprinkle cheddar cheese and bacon crumbles evenly over the top of the skillet mixture.
  8. Bake: Transfer the skillet into the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Optional Broil: For extra bubbly cheese, broil on low for 3 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Serve: Remove the skillet from the oven and serve immediately. Optionally, top with additional sugar-free ketchup and mustard for added flavor.
