Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking dish with vegan butter or cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, mix together the melted vegan butter, sugar, applesauce, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth out the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is still slightly gooey. Let the brownies cool completely before cutting into squares.
