Vegan Fudge Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the coconut sugar to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the unsweetened applesauce, melted coconut oil, almond milk, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the dairy-free chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
