Vegan Fudge Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the coconut sugar to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the unsweetened applesauce, melted coconut oil, almond milk, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in the dairy-free chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
