Vegan Brownies Recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce (as an egg substitute)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped vegan chocolate or vegan chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the vegetable oil, applesauce, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chopped vegan chocolate or chocolate chips into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares and enjoy your delicious vegan brownies!
