- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons coconut sugar (or any preferred sugar)
- Cooking spray or oil for greasing
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and non-dairy yogurt. Mix well until a dough forms. If the dough seems too dry, add a little more yogurt, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a small bowl, mix together the ground cinnamon and coconut sugar.
- If using maple syrup, brush it evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the dough.
- Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut the dough into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- Twist each strip gently and place it onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each twist.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the twists are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
