  • 1 pound extra-lean ground turkey (99% fat-free)
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly coat it with cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Using your hands, shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Lightly spray the tops of the balls with cooking spray to promote browning.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the balls are cooked through and lightly browned on the outside.
  6. Once cooked, remove the balls from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
