Ingredients:
- 1 pound extra-lean ground turkey (99% fat-free)
- 1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 cup finely chopped mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly coat it with cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Using your hands, shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Lightly spray the tops of the balls with cooking spray to promote browning.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the balls are cooked through and lightly browned on the outside.
- Once cooked, remove the balls from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
