Ingredients:
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup coconut flour
- 1/4 cup psyllium husk powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together almond flour, coconut flour, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Add melted butter, sour cream, and apple cider vinegar. Mix well.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. The batter will be thick.
- Grease a cast-iron skillet or an oven-safe skillet with butter or oil.
- Divide the batter into 6 portions and shape each portion into a ball. Place the balls in the skillet, leaving some space between them.
- Optionally, you can sprinkle sesame seeds or other keto-friendly toppings on top of the buns.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the buns are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the buns to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
