Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup psyllium husk powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together almond flour, coconut flour, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Add melted butter, sour cream, and apple cider vinegar. Mix well.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. The batter will be thick.
  5. Grease a cast-iron skillet or an oven-safe skillet with butter or oil.
  6. Divide the batter into 6 portions and shape each portion into a ball. Place the balls in the skillet, leaving some space between them.
  7. Optionally, you can sprinkle sesame seeds or other keto-friendly toppings on top of the buns.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the buns are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the buns to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
