Ingredients
- 1 poundmushrooms, quartered
- 1 teaspoonsea salt
- 2 tablespoonunsalted butter
- 1 cupheavy cream
- 2 tablespoonsoy sauce or tamari
- 1 tablespoonfresh thyme
Method
- In a dry skillet over medium heat add the quartered mushrooms in a single layer (this might take a few batches…don’t over crowd the pan). Once mushrooms have started to brown add salt and allow them to “sweat”. Sir and continue cooking for another 2 minutes.
- When all the mushrooms are finished, add the butter to the pan.
- Once butter has melted and began to bubble, and all the mushrooms are coated, add in thyme, heavy cream, and tamari. Bring the sauce to a low simmer stir constantly. Cook until sauce has thickened, about 3-4 minutes. Serve warm over anything and everything.
