Balsamic Bacon Brussels Sprouts in Air Fryer

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 & 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts, washed and halved if needed
  • 6-8 slices bacon, halved
  • Toothpicks

Instructions:

  1. Preparation:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s ready for cooking.
  2. Prepare the Marinade:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine the ingredients into a marinade.
  3. Coat Brussels Sprouts:
    • Add the washed Brussels sprouts to the bowl with the marinade. Toss the Brussels sprouts in the marinade until they are evenly coated.
  4. Wrap in Bacon:
    • Take each Brussels sprout and wrap it with a half piece of bacon. Secure the bacon in place by inserting a toothpick through the Brussels sprout and bacon to hold them together. Repeat this process for all Brussels sprouts.
  5. Air Fry:
    • Place the bacon-wrapped Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
    • Cook the Brussels sprouts in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for approximately 15 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the Brussels sprouts are tender. Check for doneness by piercing a Brussels sprout with a fork.
  6. Serve:
    • Once cooked, carefully remove the bacon-wrapped Brussels sprouts from the air fryer using tongs or a spatula. Serve them hot as a delicious appetizer or side dish.
