Ingredients:

  1. 1 package of Zucchini Spirals (e.g., Green Giant Veggie Spirals Zucchini, 12 oz – 0 points)
  2. 1 cup of spaghetti sauce (e.g., McCormick Spaghetti Sauce Mix, Thick and Zesty, 1 cup – 2 points)
  3. ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  4. 1 tsp garlic powder
  5. 1 tsp onion powder
  6. ½ tsp black pepper
  7. Fat-free shredded cheese (e.g., Great Value Fat-Free Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, 1/4 cup – 0 points)

Instructions:

  1. Begin by heating the veggie spirals in the microwave for 4-5 minutes, ensuring they are not overly softened. While the package might suggest 6-7 minutes, a shorter duration is preferred to prevent the vegetables from becoming mushy.
  2. Carefully remove the veggie spirals from the microwave, draining any excess liquid. Transfer them to a pot, setting the stage for the next steps of culinary magic.
  3. Sprinkle the red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper over the veggie spirals. Pour in the spaghetti sauce, creating a tantalizing medley of flavors.
  4. Gently heat the mixture until the sauce is on the brink of boiling, allowing the spices to infuse and the ingredients to harmonize. Exercise caution, as we aim for a perfect balance without compromising the integrity of the veggies.
  5. Remove the pot from heat and let the concoction rest for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. The result is a sumptuous blend that will delight your senses.
