• 8 oz (or your preferred portion size) lean steak (e.g., sirloin or flank steak)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Fajita seasoning mix (look for one with low or no added sugar)
  • Whole wheat tortillas (check the SmartPoints value)
  • Optional toppings: salsa, low-fat sour cream, lettuce, and shredded reduced-fat cheese

  1. Slice the steak into thin strips and season with the fajita seasoning mix according to the package instructions. The seasoning mix should have minimal SmartPoints.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and cook the sliced steak until it reaches your preferred level of doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onions. Sauté until they become tender and slightly caramelized.
  4. Warm the whole wheat tortillas according to the package instructions.
  5. Assemble your fajitas by placing some of the cooked steak and sautéed vegetables inside each tortilla. Add optional toppings as desired, but be mindful of SmartPoints values.
  6. Roll up the tortillas and serve your WW-friendly steak fajitas.
