Ingredients:

4 whole wheat hoagie rolls
1 lb lean beef steak, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
4 slices reduced-fat provolone cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Garlic Spread:

2 tablespoons light butter or margarine, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a small bowl, mix together the melted light butter or margarine, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning to create the garlic spread.
Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the garlic spread onto the cut sides of the hoagie rolls. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the bread is lightly toasted.
While the bread is toasting, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the sliced bell pepper, sliced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5-6 minutes.
Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the vegetables and toss to combine.
Divide the steak and vegetable mixture evenly among the toasted hoagie rolls. Top each sandwich with a slice of reduced-fat provolone cheese.
Return the assembled sandwiches to the oven and bake for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish the Philly Cheesesteak Garlic Bread with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
