• 1 can of chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
  • 1/4 cup of tahini
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 3 cloves of roasted garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
  • 2 tablespoons of water

  1. Roast the garlic: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Peel the outer layers of the garlic bulb to reveal the individual cloves. Cut off the top of the bulb, exposing the tops of the cloves. Place the bulb in a sheet of foil and drizzle with olive oil. Wrap the foil around the bulb and place it in the oven. Roast the garlic for 35-40 minutes, until the cloves are soft and golden brown.
  2. Make the hummus: In a food processor, add the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, roasted garlic, lemon juice, salt, cumin, and paprika. Blend until smooth.
  3. If the hummus is too thick, add 2 tablespoons of water and blend again until you reach the desired consistency.
  4. Taste the hummus and adjust the seasonings as needed. Add more salt or lemon juice if needed.
  5. Serve the hummus with your favorite vegetables, crackers, or pita bread. Enjoy!
