VEGAN HOMEMADE ROASTED GARLIC HUMMUS! RECIPES
Ingredients:
- 1 can of chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
- 1/4 cup of tahini
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 3 cloves of roasted garlic
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
- 2 tablespoons of water
Instructions:
- Roast the garlic: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Peel the outer layers of the garlic bulb to reveal the individual cloves. Cut off the top of the bulb, exposing the tops of the cloves. Place the bulb in a sheet of foil and drizzle with olive oil. Wrap the foil around the bulb and place it in the oven. Roast the garlic for 35-40 minutes, until the cloves are soft and golden brown.
- Make the hummus: In a food processor, add the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, roasted garlic, lemon juice, salt, cumin, and paprika. Blend until smooth.
- If the hummus is too thick, add 2 tablespoons of water and blend again until you reach the desired consistency.
- Taste the hummus and adjust the seasonings as needed. Add more salt or lemon juice if needed.
- Serve the hummus with your favorite vegetables, crackers, or pita bread. Enjoy!
