Vegan Buttery Skillet Corn

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh corn kernels (about 4 ears)
  • 3 tablespoons vegan butter
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup (or maple syrup as a honey substitute)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Corn:
    • Cut the corn kernels from the cob and set aside.
  2. Cook the Corn:
    • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the vegan butter and let it melt.
    • Add the corn kernels to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corn is tender and slightly golden.
  3. Add Sweetness:
    • Stir in the agave syrup (or maple syrup), salt, and pepper. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
  4. Serve:
    • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley or chives if desired.
