- 1 cup vanilla vodka
- 1 cup orange-flavored liqueur (such as triple sec)
- 1 cup grain alcohol or high-proof vodka
Instructions:
- Prepare the Orange Infusion:
- In a large container or jar, combine the orange juice and orange zest. Allow it to sit for at least 24 hours to infuse the orange flavor into the juice.
- Make Simple Syrup:
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Allow the simple syrup to cool.
- Combine Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl or pitcher, combine the orange-infused juice, vanilla vodka, orange-flavored liqueur, grain alcohol or high-proof vodka, and the simple syrup. Mix well.
- Adjust Sweetness:
- Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness by adding more simple syrup if needed.
- Store and Age (Optional):
- Pour the mixture into glass jars or bottles with tight-fitting lids. If you have the patience, allow the moonshine to age in a cool, dark place for a few weeks. This step is optional but can enhance the flavor.
