Ingredients:
- 1 lb thinly sliced beef (such as sirloin or ribeye)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 4 ounces mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 4 large lettuce leaves (such as romaine or iceberg)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Beef:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the cooked beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Cook the Vegetables:
- In the same skillet, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5-6 minutes.
- Season:
- Sprinkle the cooked vegetables with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the Sandwiches:
- Divide the cooked beef into 4 portions and place each portion on a large lettuce leaf.
- Top each portion of beef with the cooked vegetables.
- Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of each portion of vegetables.
- Serve:
- Fold the lettuce leaves over the beef, vegetables, and cheese to create sandwich wraps. Serve the low-carb Philly cheese steak sandwiches immediately.
