Low-Carb Meat Skewers Stuffed with Cheese

Servings: 4

  • 400g ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 large egg
  • 100g cheese of your choice (such as cheddar, mozzarella, or pepper jack), cut into small cubes

  1. Prepare the Meat Mixture:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and egg. Mix everything together until well combined.
  2. Form the Skewers:
    • Take a small portion of the meat mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a cube of cheese in the center and wrap the meat around it, forming a skewer shape. Repeat this process with the remaining meat mixture and cheese cubes.
  3. Bake the Skewers:
    • Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
    • Place the meat skewers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or sprayed with cooking spray.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and lightly browned.
  4. Serve:
    • Once cooked, remove the skewers from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
    • Optionally, serve with a side of low-carb dipping sauce or a fresh salad.
