Low-Carb Meat Skewers Stuffed with Cheese
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
- 400g ground beef or turkey
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 large egg
- 100g cheese of your choice (such as cheddar, mozzarella, or pepper jack), cut into small cubes
Instructions:
- Prepare the Meat Mixture:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and egg. Mix everything together until well combined.
- Form the Skewers:
- Take a small portion of the meat mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a cube of cheese in the center and wrap the meat around it, forming a skewer shape. Repeat this process with the remaining meat mixture and cheese cubes.
- Bake the Skewers:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
- Place the meat skewers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and lightly browned.
- Serve:
- Once cooked, remove the skewers from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Optionally, serve with a side of low-carb dipping sauce or a fresh salad.
