Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 8-10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 2
Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless, about 6 oz each)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Fresh herbs (optional), such as parsley or dill, for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
2. Season the Salmon
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Brush or drizzle the mixture evenly over both sides of the salmon fillets.
3. Arrange in the Air Fryer
Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets. Leave space between the fillets for proper air circulation.
4. Cook the Salmon
Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The salmon is done when it:
- Flakes easily with a fork.
- Reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
5. Check for Doneness
If the fillets are thick, add a few extra minutes of cooking time. Check halfway through and adjust as needed.
6. Serve
Carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer and transfer to a plate. Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh herbs, if desired. Serve hot.
Serving Suggestions
Pair your air fryer salmon with:
- Roasted vegetables (like asparagus or broccoli).
- Steamed rice or cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.
- A fresh salad with vinaigrette dressing.
Tips for Success
- For even cooking, use fillets of similar size and thickness.
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer to ensure proper airflow.
- Experiment with other spices like dill, cumin, or chili powder for variety.
