Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breast cutlets
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

1. Prepare Breading Stations

  1. Breadcrumb Mixture: In a shallow plate, mix the panko breadcrumbs and garlic powder.
  2. Egg Mixture: In another shallow plate, beat the egg with black pepper and salt.
  3. Flour Station: Add the flour to a third shallow plate.

2. Bread the Chicken

  1. Coat each chicken cutlet in flour, shaking off the excess.
  2. Dip into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  3. Press into the breadcrumb mixture until fully covered.
  4. Repeat for all cutlets, shaking off excess breading.

3. Preheat the Air Fryer

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Spray the air fryer basket generously with cooking spray.

4. Cook the Chicken

  1. Place the breaded cutlets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap.
  2. Lightly spray the tops of the cutlets with cooking spray.
  3. Cook at 390°F for 5 minutes on one side.
  4. Flip the cutlets, spray again, and cook for another 5 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
    • Note: Cooking time may vary based on the thickness of the chicken. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

5. Serve

  1. Remove the chicken cutlets and let them rest for 2 minutes.
  2. Serve warm with your favorite sides, such as a fresh salad, roasted vegetables, or dipping sauce.

  • For extra flavor, add grated Parmesan to the breadcrumb mixture.
