Ingredients
For the Strawberry Sauce
2 cups fresh strawberries, diced
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice

4 cups strawberry ice cream
2 cups vanilla ice cream

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Strawberry Sauce
Wash and hull the strawberries.
Cut them into small pieces.
Add strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water to a saucepan.
Cook over medium heat for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
When the strawberries soften and the mixture thickens slightly, remove from heat.
Allow the sauce to cool completely.
Step 2: Prepare the Sundae Base
Let the ice cream sit at room temperature for 3–5 minutes to soften slightly.
Fold the sliced fresh strawberries into the strawberry ice cream.
Add a few spoonfuls of cooled strawberry sauce and gently swirl it through the ice cream.
Step 3: Assemble the Sundae
Spoon a layer of strawberry ice cream into a tall serving cup or glass.
Add a drizzle of strawberry sauce.
Repeat the layers until the cup is nearly full.
Add several scoops of ice cream on top.

Step 4: Garnish
Top with whipped cream if desired.
Sprinkle fresh strawberry pieces over the ice cream.
Drizzle with strawberry syrup.
Garnish with a mint leaf for a fresh and elegant presentation.
