Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (0 points)
  • Olive oil for rubbing or drizzling (1 WW point per tsp.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin

Instructions:

  1. Preparation: Begin by rinsing and patting the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them skin side down on a plate, and gently rub olive oil over the top surface of each fillet.
  2. Seasoning: In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and cumin. Sprinkle this flavorful seasoning mixture evenly over the salmon fillets, ensuring each piece is generously coated.
  3. Preheating: Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for approximately 3 minutes, allowing it to reach the optimal cooking temperature.
  4. Cooking: Carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets, skin side down, into the preheated air fryer basket. Cook the fillets for 8 to 11 minutes, or until they are cooked to your desired level of doneness and flake easily with a fork. Larger pieces of salmon may require slightly longer cooking times.
  5. Checking for Doneness: For added precision, use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature of the salmon reaches 125 degrees F (52 degrees C). This indicates that the salmon is fully cooked and ready to be enjoyed.
  6. Serving: Once cooked to perfection, remove the salmon fillets from the air fryer and serve them immediately. Garnish with fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon juice for an extra burst of flavor.

Notes:

  • The cooking time may vary depending on the size and thickness of the salmon fillets. Adjust the cooking time accordingly to ensure optimal results.
  • To keep track of your SmartPoints, remember to account for the olive oil used for rubbing or drizzling, which contributes 1 point per teaspoon.
  • Enjoy these delectable air fryer salmon fillets as a nutritious and satisfying main dish, paired with your favorite side dishes or atop a bed of mixed greens for a refreshing salad.
