For the Homemade Flour Tortillas:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
3/4 cup warm water
Instructions:

Flour Foundation:
In a large mixing bowl, lay the foundation for your tortillas by combining 2 cups of all-purpose flour. This versatile flour serves as the canvas for the culinary artistry to follow.
Salt Symphony:
Introduce a symphony of flavor by adding 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the flour. The salt not only enhances the taste but also contributes to the texture and pliability of the tortillas.

Baking Powder Ballet:
Enlist the help of 1 teaspoon of baking powder to perform a ballet of leavening, ensuring your tortillas achieve the perfect balance of fluffiness without compromising their structural integrity.
Olive Oil Elegance:
Infuse a touch of elegance into the mix with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. The oil will play a crucial role in enhancing the tortillas’ tenderness and imparting a subtle richness to each bite.
Water Alchemy:
Gradually add 3/4 cup of warm water to the dry ingredients, engaging in a bit of alchemy to transform the mixture into a cohesive dough. The warmth of the water encourages the flour to absorb moisture, resulting in a pliable and workable dough.
Kneading Ritual:
Embark on a kneading ritual, gently working the dough on a floured surface for approximately 5-7 minutes. This step is essential for developing gluten, ensuring the tortillas achieve the desired texture.
Restful Interlude:
Allow the dough to rest, covered, for at least 30 minutes. This interlude provides a necessary pause for the gluten to relax, making the dough easier to roll out and preventing the tortillas from becoming tough.
Divine Division:
Divide the rested dough into golf ball-sized portions. This divine division ensures uniformity in size, facilitating an even cooking process.
Rolling Ritual:
Engage in a rolling ritual, delicately flattening each portion into a thin, round disc. Aim for a diameter of approximately 8 inches, ensuring your tortillas are neither too thick nor too thin.
Pan Preheat:
Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. This preliminary heat ensures that the tortillas cook quickly and develop the desired golden-brown spots.
Cooking Choreography:
Perform a cooking choreography by placing each rolled-out tortilla onto the hot surface. Allow them to cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side or until they puff slightly and display a beautiful golden hue.
Stacking Symphony:
As each tortilla emerges from the griddle, engage in a stacking symphony, creating a warm and inviting pile. Stacking them while still warm helps retain moisture and flexibility.
