  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion

    Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Take out your pie crusts and let them sit at room temperature while you prepare the filling.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Once the butter is melted, whisk in the flour, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Continue to whisk until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  • Slowly add in the chicken broth and milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil and stir for 1-2 minutes until it thickens.
  • Add in the chicken, frozen peas and carrots, and chopped onion. Mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into the bottom pie crust.
  • Place the top pie crust over the filling and crimp the edges to seal the pie.
  • Cut a few slits into the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  • Bake the pie for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  • Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Enjoy your delicious homemade chicken pot pie!
