π₯ Keto Ham and Cheese Crescents
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional for flavor)
- 1/4 tsp onion powder (optional for flavor)
- 1 large egg
- 8 slices deli ham
- 8 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- 1 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
- Optional: sesame seeds or poppy seeds for topping
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make the Fathead Dough:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave for 1 minute, then stir and microwave again in 30-second increments until the cheeses are fully melted and combined.
- Add almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and the egg to the melted cheese mixture. Stir well until a dough forms. If it’s sticky, you can knead it with your hands once it cools down slightly.
- Shape the Dough:
- Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it out into a thin, large circle (about 1/4 inch thick).
- Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough into 8 triangular pieces, just like cutting pizza slices.
- Add Ham and Cheese:
- Place a slice of ham and cheese on the wider part of each dough triangle. Carefully roll each one up, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the narrow tip, forming a crescent shape.
- Bake:
- Transfer the crescents to the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds, if desired.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
- Serve:
- Let the crescents cool slightly before serving. These Keto Ham and Cheese Crescents are perfect for breakfast, snacks, or as a tasty appetizer!
Enjoy the buttery, cheesy goodness of this keto-friendly twist on classic crescents! π
