Ingredients:
For the Burger Patties:
- 1.5 pounds ground beef (preferably 80% lean)
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Special Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sugar-free ketchup
- 1 tablespoon dill pickle relish
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Additional Ingredients:
- Iceberg lettuce leaves (for the bun replacement)
- Sliced cheddar cheese
- Dill pickles
- Chopped onions (optional)
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
For the Burger Patties:
- Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.
- Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions and shape them into thin patties.
- Season each patty with salt and pepper.
- Grill the patties for 2-3 minutes per side or until they reach your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
For the Special Sauce:
- In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sugar-free ketchup, dill pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Adjust the seasoning to taste.
Assembling the Keto Big Mac:
- Take two large iceberg lettuce leaves for each burger patty. These will serve as your “bun.”
- Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom, add a burger patty with melted cheese, and top it with chopped onions (if using), pickles, and a generous drizzle of the special sauce.
- Add another lettuce leaf on top as the “bun” to complete the Keto Big Mac.
- Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for a traditional appearance.
- Repeat the process for the remaining patties.
