🦀🍤 Crabby Shrimp-Stuffed Garlic Bread Bombs (Mediterranean Style)
Ingredients
For the filling:
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, finely chopped
- ½ cup lump crab meat (fresh or canned, drained)
- 3 tbsp cream cheese (light or full-fat)
- 2 tbsp Greek yogurt (or sour cream)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh dill (or basil/oregano)
- 2 tbsp crumbled feta cheese (optional for Mediterranean flair)
- Juice & zest of ½ lemon
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Pinch of red chili flakes (optional)
For the bread bombs:
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough OR pizza dough (8–10 pieces)
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds or nigella seeds (optional, Mediterranean touch)
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add chopped shrimp, cook 1–2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Mix with crab meat, cream cheese, Greek yogurt, feta, herbs, lemon zest/juice, salt, and pepper until creamy.
- Assemble Bread Bombs
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out biscuit/pizza dough into small circles.
- Place 1 spoonful of crab-shrimp filling in the center.
- Fold and pinch edges to seal tightly into a ball.
- Garlic Butter Glaze
- Mix melted butter with garlic powder, oregano, thyme.
- Brush over each bread bomb.
- Sprinkle sesame or nigella seeds on top.
- Bake
- Place stuffed bread bombs on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake 15–18 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve Mediterranean Style
- Garnish with fresh parsley & a squeeze of lemon.
- Serve warm with a side of tzatziki or marinara for dipping.
