Chicken Bacon Ranch Sliders Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Chicken:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (or to taste)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking the chicken)

For the Sliders:

  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian buns or soft dinner rolls work well)
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat. Add the shredded chicken and cook until heated through, about 3-4 minutes.
    • Add the ranch dressing and shredded cheddar cheese to the chicken, stirring to combine. Let it cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts and the mixture is creamy. Remove from heat.
  2. Prepare the Sliders:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Slice the slider buns in half horizontally (keeping the top and bottom halves intact). Place the bottom half of the buns in a baking dish or on a large sheet pan.
  3. Assemble the Sliders:
  • Spoon a generous amount of the chicken mixture onto the bottom half of each bun.
  • Sprinkle chopped bacon over the chicken mixture, then top with a little extra shredded cheddar cheese if desired.
  • Place the top half of the buns on top of the sliders.

Make the Garlic Butter Topping:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, and Dijon mustard (if using).
  • Brush this garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of the buns.

Bake:

    • For a crispier top, remove the foil for the last 5 minutes of baking.
  1. Serve:
    • Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes.
    • Optional: Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
    • Slice and serve warm.

Tips:

  • Chicken: You can use cooked chicken breasts, rotisserie chicken, or even leftover chicken for this recipe.
  • Buns: If you’re using larger buns, you may need to adjust the filling and the baking time accordingly.
  • Extras: Feel free to add extra toppings like jalapeños, pickles, or tomatoes if you like more flavor and texture in your sliders.

Enjoy your cheesy, savory, and perfectly crispy Chicken Bacon Ranch Sliders!
