Ingredients:

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
6-8 asparagus spears, trimmed
4 slices of provolone or Swiss cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning (optional)
1 lemon, sliced for garnish (optional)
Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Chicken:
Place each chicken breast between plastic wrap and gently pound them to an even thickness.
Season both sides of each chicken breast with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Assemble the Chicken:
Lay 2 slices of cheese on each chicken breast.
Place 3-4 asparagus spears on top of the cheese.
Carefully roll up each chicken breast, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
Sear the Chicken:
In an oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Sear the stuffed chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Bake in the Oven:
If your skillet is oven-safe, transfer it directly to the preheated oven. Otherwise, transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the juices run clear.
Optional: Broil for Crispy Top (Optional):
If you’d like a crispy top, you can broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
Serve:
Remove the toothpicks before serving.
Optionally, sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top and garnish with lemon slices.
Enjoy:
Serve your asparagus-stuffed chicken breasts with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
