Air Fryer Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • For the Meatballs:
    • 1 processed cheese, grated
    • 50 grams (about 3.5 tablespoons) butter, softened
    • Fresh dill, chopped
    • 1 teaspoon smoked red pepper
    • 500 grams (about 1.1 pounds) minced meat (beef, pork, or a combination)
    • 1 egg
    • 1 onion, finely chopped
    • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
    • 200 ml (about 0.85 cups) milk
    • 1 teaspoon ginger
    • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
    • Salt and black pepper to taste
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons flour
    • Olive oil spray

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Meatballs:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced meat, grated processed cheese, softened butter, chopped dill, smoked red pepper, egg, finely chopped onion, breadcrumbs, milk, ginger, nutmeg, salt, black pepper, and minced garlic.
    • Mix everything together until well combined. If the mixture feels too wet, add a little more breadcrumbs until the consistency is firm enough to form meatballs.
    • Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
  2. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Air Fry the Meatballs:
    • Lightly spray the meatballs with olive oil spray to help them crisp up in the air fryer.
    • Place the meatballs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t touch. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook them in batches.
    • Air fry the meatballs at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).
  4. Serve:
    • Once done, remove the meatballs from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.

Salad to Accompany:

Ingredients:

  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 50 grams (about 1.76 ounces) cheese, grated or cubed
