Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken, cut into thigh, wings, legs, and breast pieces
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 4 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
Directions:
- Prepare the Marinade: In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the olive oil, ketchup, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined. Set aside.
- Butcher the Chicken: On a large cutting board, butcher the whole chicken into thigh, wings, legs, and breast pieces, ensuring each piece is evenly sized for even cooking.
- Rinse and Dry the Chicken: Rinse the chicken pieces under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Air Fry the Chicken: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook the chicken in batches.
- Cook the Chicken: Air fry the chicken pieces for 25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through, flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even browning.
- Glaze the Chicken: After 25 minutes, open the air fryer and pour the prepared marinade sauce evenly over the chicken pieces, ensuring each piece is generously coated.
- Continue Air Frying: Return the chicken pieces to the air fryer and continue to air fry for an additional 10 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized, and the chicken is thoroughly cooked, with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Serve: Once cooked, remove the glazed chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs or sesame seeds if desired, and enjoy your savory air fryer glazed chicken hot!
