This rich and creamy Crock Pot Philly Cheesesteak Dip is inspired by the picture, loaded with tender shredded beef, colorful bell peppers, sweet onions, mushrooms, and plenty of melted cheese. Instead of processed ingredients, this version uses anti-inflammatory foods like extra-virgin olive oil, garlic, Greek yogurt, and grass-fed beef for a healthier, protein-packed appetizer.

1 medium yellow onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
8 oz cremini mushrooms, finely chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp ground turmeric
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp sea salt
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ cup low-sodium beef broth
Creamy Cheese Mixture
8 oz reduced-fat cream cheese, softened
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 cup shredded provolone cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Garnish
Fresh parsley, chopped
Extra diced bell peppers
Fresh cracked black pepper
Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Sauté the Vegetables
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add the onion, mushrooms, and bell peppers. Cook for 6–8 minutes until softened.
Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Step 2: Brown the Beef
Season the beef with smoked paprika, turmeric, oregano, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Sear the beef in the same skillet for 3–4 minutes until lightly browned.
Step 3: Assemble the Crock Pot
Transfer the browned beef and sautéed vegetables to your slow cooker.
Add Worcestershire sauce and beef broth.
Cover and cook:
LOW: 4–5 hours
HIGH: 2–3 hours
The beef should become tender enough to shred with a fork.
Step 4: Make It Creamy
Shred the beef directly in the slow cooker.
Add:
Cream cheese
Greek yogurt
Provolone
Mozzarella
Parmesan
Stir until everything melts into a smooth, creamy dip.
Cover for another 15–20 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.
Step 5: Finish
Stir well and sprinkle with chopped parsley, diced peppers, cracked black pepper, and a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
The finished dip should be thick, creamy, cheesy, and loaded with tender beef and vegetables, just like the picture.
