Main Ingredients

  • 1½ pounds beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

Sauce & Seasoning

Casserole Base

  • 12 oz cooked pasta (penne, rotini, or egg noodles work best)
    OR
  • 4 cups frozen diced potatoes or hash browns (thawed)

Cheese Layer

  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar (optional)

Optional Toppings

  • Sliced mushrooms
  • Extra provolone slices on top

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish

2. Cook the Beef

  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
  • Add sliced beef in batches (don’t overcrowd the pan)
  • Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until just browned
  • Remove beef and set aside

3. Cook the Vegetables

  • In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil
  • Add onions and bell peppers
  • Cook for 5–7 minutes until soft and slightly caramelized
  • Add garlic and cook 30 seconds more

4. Season Everything

  • Return beef to the skillet
  • Add salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and Italian seasoning
  • Stir well and remove from heat

5. Assemble the Casserole

  • Spread cooked pasta or potatoes evenly in the baking dish
  • Top with beef and vegetable mixture
  • Sprinkle cheeses evenly over the top

6. Bake

  • Cover loosely with foil
  • Bake for 20 minutes
  • Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly

7. Rest & Serve

  • Let casserole rest 5 minutes before serving
  • Serve hot with a side salad or garlic bread
