Oven Baked Tacos 🌮
Ingredients:
1 pound (450g) lean ground beef (93% lean)
1 can (16 oz) refried beans
1 packet taco seasoning
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
12 taco shells
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped onions, salsa, sour cream
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Mix the Filling: Add the refried beans, taco seasoning, and tomato sauce to the skillet with the browned beef. Stir well to combine and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until heated through.
Prepare the Tacos: Place the taco shells in a 9×13 inch baking dish, standing them up. Spoon the beef and bean mixture into each taco shell, filling them evenly.
Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of each filled taco shell.
Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the taco shells are crispy.
Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Top with your favorite toppings such as shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped onions, salsa, and sour cream. Serve immediately.
