Indulging your sweet tooth without derailing your healthy eating goals just got easier with these delightful Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Balls. Perfect for those on a weight-loss journey or anyone seeking a guilt-free treat, these little balls of joy are sure to satisfy your cravings without compromising on flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fat-free or sugar-free whipped topping
  • 1 package sugar-free vanilla pudding mix (sugar-free cheesecake flavor can be substituted)
  • 1/3 cup sugar-free chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preparation: In a large mixing bowl, combine the fat-free or sugar-free whipped topping with the sugar-free vanilla pudding mix. Gently fold in the sugar-free chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  2. Scooping: Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, portion out approximately 1.5 to 2 tablespoons of the ice cream mixture and place each scoop into the wells of a mini muffin pan. Ensure that each ball is evenly sized for uniform freezing and serving.
  3. Freezing: Once all the mixture has been scooped into the mini muffin pan, transfer the pan to the freezer. Allow the ice cream balls to freeze for at least 2 hours, or until they are firm and set.
  4. Serving: When ready to serve, carefully remove the frozen ice cream balls from the mini muffin pan and transfer them to a serving platter or individual dessert dishes. Garnish with additional sugar-free chocolate chips or a drizzle of sugar-free chocolate syrup for extra indulgence, if desired.
  5. Enjoyment: These Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Balls are best enjoyed immediately after removing them from the freezer. Serve them as a refreshing treat on a hot summer day, a guilt-free dessert option at your next gathering, or simply as a satisfying snack whenever your sweet tooth strikes.

Additional Tips:

  • Variations: Experiment with different flavors of sugar-free pudding mix, such as chocolate or butterscotch, to create a variety of delicious ice cream ball flavors. You can also swap out the sugar-free chocolate chips for chopped nuts, dried fruit, or shredded coconut for added texture and flavor.
  • Storage: Store any leftover ice cream balls in an airtight container in the freezer for up to one week. Simply remove them from the freezer a few minutes before serving to allow them to soften slightly before enjoying.
  • Points Calculation: It’s important to note that the point value of these Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Balls may vary depending on the specific ingredients used. For example, using fat-free whipped topping will result in a lower point value compared to using sugar-free whipped topping. Be sure to check the point values of the ingredients you choose to use, especially if you are following a specific weight-loss program like Weight Watchers.

Conclusion:

With their creamy texture, sweet vanilla flavor, and decadent chocolate chip accents, these Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Balls are a delightful treat that proves you don’t have to sacrifice flavor to stay on track with your health and wellness goals. Whip up a batch today and indulge in guilt-free satisfaction with every bite.

2 Point Chocolate Chip Ice cream Balls

For those with a sweet tooth, if you haven’t seen these already….Chocolate Chip Ice Cream balls for 2 pts. My husband is the one who loves sweets but I liked these too. My step daughter asked for the recipe. 😬
I found this on Pinterest, which BTW is a great place to get new recipes, with points included.
Mix together 2 cups Fat free (or sugar free) whipped topping &
1 package sugar free vanilla pudding mix (I used sugar free cheesecake). Fold in 1/3 cup chocolate chips. Scoop 1.5-2tbsp of mixture into mini muffin pan. Freeze. Makes 12.
Edit: these are 2 points only if you use fat free cool whip. Sugar free is higher points. 3 according to someone but I didn’t do that math 🤪)
